Maplewood's environmental ordinances were created to protect, preserve, and enhance the city's environment. Environmental ordinances range from wetland and stream protection, tree preservation, stormwater management, renewable energy, Mississippi Critical Area, and others. Currently the ordinances are found in the following chapters of the City Code:
Chapter 12 (Buildings and Building Regulations)
Chapter 18 (Environment)
Chapter 38 (Trees)
The city will be combining the environmental ordinances into one Chapter in 2014 - Chapter 18 (Environment). Look for more information on the environmental ordinance revisions here in the future.
