Personal Services

There are two separate licenses required before a person or company can engage in the activity of operating a Massage Center within the city.

  • Massage Premise - required of any person or company that operates a business that offers or performs massage for members of the public or of a private club.
  • Massage Practitioner -  required of any person performing massage therapy, who has received a massage degree or certificate from a recognized school.
    • Recognized schools must be approved by the state higher education services office or equivalent licensing authority for programs offered outside of the state—which includes not less than 500 hours of training in the theory, method and techniques of massage.
