Personal Service - Business Premise

A Massage Premise license is required of any person or company that operates a business that offers or performs massage for members of the public or of a private club.

Athletic, lodging, recreational, religious or social organizations that offer the above services, as incidental provisions upon their premises are exempt from licensure. For this purpose, "incidental" means that the cost of providing such facilities, and any income generated from their use represents less than 15% of  the gross revenues generated by the organization at the premises.
Code Requirements

Guidance relating to Massage Premise is contained in the Maplewood City Code, Chapter 14, Article XIII, Division 4 and 5.  All license holders are required to be familiar with the provisions of this Chapter and with applicable Minnesota Statutes and federal regulations.

License term(s) run September 1 through August 31, annually.  Renewal must occur on or before date of expiration.
