Water Safety Instructor Training

We now have in-house Water Safety Instructor Trainers.

Description: Become certified to teach the American Red Cross Swim Lessons. Fundamentals of Instructor Training (FIT) certification is included.

Age Prerequisites: Must be at least 16 years of age before the final scheduled session (proof required).

Skill Prerequisites: Must demonstrate the following skills according to the Stroke Performance Charts. Level 4: 25 yards front crawl, 25 yards back crawl, 25 yards breaststroke, 25 yards elementary backstroke, 25 yards sidestroke, 15 yards butterfly, tread water for 1 minute, maintain position on back 1 minute in deep water.

Where: MCC and an outside site to be determined for deep water skills

Water Safety Aide Training
We now offer FREE training to individuals over the age of ten who have completed Red Cross Level 4 and are interested in being a volunteer aide for the MCC or ISD 622 swim lessons program. Call (651) 249-2230 to register.
