Kohlman Creek
About Kohlman Creek
Just beyond the noise and traffic of Beam Avenue, a sanctuary from the hubbub of urban life awaits you at Maplewood’s Kohlman Creek Preserve. A canopy of stately oaks and a grove of boxelders invites birds, squirrels, and intrepid hikers seeking shade.

Kohlman Creek meanders through the preserve on its way to Kohlman Basin. While you wouldn’t want to wade here, the creek is picturesque and the sound of running water enchants. The Bruce Vento Trail runs along the preserve’s western boundary, sitting high above a small meadow full of light and sunshine.
