Citizen's Academy
Overview
The course is designed to introduce residents to the realities of police work. It provides attendees an opportunity to see the challenges and dangers police officers face while protecting their communities.

Other topics, such as traffic stops, DWI enforcement, and use of force issues will involve more active participation.

Citizen academy participants are also be afforded the opportunity to do a five-hour “ride-along” with a police officer.

The course is approximately nine weeks long, with classes held during the evening.
