Amusement Parks
Overview
Businesses that charge the public for use of their amusement rides must have an Amusement Park License.
Code Requirements
See Chapter 8-31 – Chapter 8-40 of the City of Maplewood code for information on amusement parks.
Application Requirements
You must submit the following:
- Amusement Park license application.
- Certificate of Insurance naming the City of Maplewood as the certificate holder with a 10-day
notice of cancellation clause.
- Insurance Requirements: $100,000 property damage, $300,00 general liability, $50,000
worker's compensation.
- Required license fee.
Review/Inspections
The license application submitted under this subdivision shall be submitted to the city clerk’s office. The applicant shall permit representatives of any City of Maplewood department to inspect and examine the place of business described in the application together with all the appliances, instruments and devised used or to be used in the transaction of the business for which a license is sought.
Expiration/Renewal
The annual Amusement Park License expires December 31 of each year.
