Any request for connection to a public utility sanitary sewer or water main for which the property has not been previously assessed or paid for in any part is subject to a Cash Connection Charge (CCC). The fee for 2012 is $4,240 per unit for each respective sanitary sewer or water cash connection. This fee is increased annually. The city engineer reviews and adjusts this fee according to inflation and/or the construction cost index. These fees are paid in the Engineering Division and retained by the city for the purpose of supplementing and offsetting ongoing maintenance costs.
